Hyatt is replacing its 3-tier award pricing (off-peak/standard/peak) with 5 tiers (Lowest/Low/Moderate/Upper/Top) starting May 2026. Category 7 properties like Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa jump from a 25K-35K range to 25K-55K per night — a 57% peak increase. Category 8 goes from 35K-45K to 35K-75K (67% increase). Floors stay the same, free night certificates work at any tier, and categories aren't shifting. Island travelers should book peak-season stays now at current pricing, transfer Chase UR points before May, and consider shoulder season for unchanged Lowest-tier rates. Even post-change, Hyatt remains the best program for aspirational island redemptions — but the era of 35K peak nights at the Hadahaa is ending.
